Root Cellar Catering is a locally inspired group devoted to serving delicious food, using only the freshest ingredients presented in an elegant, relaxed style. We specialize in serving house-made, Americana fare with an artisanal twist. We take the time to make our food from scratch, using ingredients from local Texas farms, and baking our own breads daily. Not only is the food delectable but our welcoming, attentive staff are sure to make your experience a wonderful one.

Who's Cooking?: Executive Chef Megan Turbeville is the marvel behind all the splendid food we offer our guests. She attended Le Cordon Bleu at the Texas Culinary Academy and has held head and executive chef positions in the restaurant industry for 11 years.
A little more info: The Root Cellar Cafe opened its doors in 2005 and has since been featured in Texas Monthly, Better Homes and Gardens, and on PBS' Day Tripper. It has also received awards for Best in Hays County and #8 "Best in Texas" restaurant.
